MDXONE OX Learning Harness - Aqua
The MDXONE is a tether that combines a kids backpack for your young student and a retractable leash for the instructor.
THE LEASH
The leash has a 16 feet retractable red tape/cord with two 12” bungee cords at the end to connect into the backpack’s attachment points. With the retractable leash, you can now decide the distance between you and your student with a simple push on the stop/release button with your thumb. When hitting the stop button, the bungee cord will extend slowly which will not cause a jarring effect on the student. Our new hook on the leash with will help you to pick up your tiny shredder when he/she falls with only one hand. You only have to hook it the ring at the top of the backpack. How to use it: “Y” connection bungee cords setting
–Beginner Setting: For beginners, you’ll need to attach both bungee cords on the MDX-Bpak on each side of the student’s hips, which will make a “Y” connection. Pull on the right to make your student engage a left turn and vise versa. There is no need to use two ropes.
You can also use the leash in front of the student using the same attachment points to practice toe side with your student (snowboarding) or towing your student if on skis. “D” Ring connection
– Intermediate setting: Just hook both bungee cords/clips to the Stainless “D” ring on one side of the bag (waist) and you’ll be able to control the speed of your student when practicing going straight downhill. “O” ring connection bungee cords setting
– Advance setting: Just hook both bungee cords/clips to the Stainless Steel “O” ring and you’ll be able to control their speed and also control their turns as the ring will travel from one side to the other. Speed is key when hitting obstacles and the MDXONE will help you control it with ease.
THE BACKPACK
10”H x 9”W x 2”D
Three attaching points for the MDX-Leash. Optional/removable seat harness for extra support, especially for the little ones Chest and waist adjustable straps to prevent the bag to rise up. Each strap has an elastic pouch to securely store the extras, so you have no straps or cords sticking out which makes it safe when on the chair lift. Two zippers for the main pouch to store the MDX-Leash and more (favorite teddy bear) and also a separate pouch to store other items (snacks, hand warmer, Nintendo DS…)
You’ll also like the two grab handles. You’ll use them frequently when your student is falling or just going on & off the chairlifts.
It will take you 5 seconds to put the leash inside the bag at the bottom of the hill.
